WHAT AIRPORT DO WE FLY INTO?
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) is less than an hour by car or train, but AMS is sometimes pricey and there are many other airports nearby.
Paris, France (230 miles /370km away) A lovely 4-hour train ride, a 4-hour drive, or a 45 min flight.
Brussels, Belgium (70 miles/ 115km away) A quick drive, train or car hire away.
Dusseldorf, Germany (90 miles/145km away) Less than a 2-hour drive or a 2.5-hour train.
For those wanting to explore other parts of Europe:
London is a one-hour flight from Amsterdam
Basel, Switzerland, is an hour's flight from Amsterdam
Berlin is a one-hour flight from Amsterdam
Milan is a 90-minute flight from Amsterdam
Lisbon is a three-hour flight from Amsterdam
HOW DO WE GET TO DEN BOSCH?
Den Bosch (‘s-Hertogenbosch) is most easily accessible by train from Amsterdam Schiphol Airpot (AMS). Direct trains leave on average every half hour from the airport and public transport is very user-friendly. Tickets can be booked in advance using this website or purchased upon arrival. While Uber and car hires are also available, they are often quite expensive, so unless you arrive between 12 am and 6 am, we recommend the train or a rental car.
If you plan to explore other areas of the Netherlands or fancy a road trip to Germany, France, or another neighboring country, a rental car would be a great and the most flexible option. Rental cars are also available at the airport, and cars can be rented with a US or international driver's license.

is there public parking in Den Bosch?
There sure is— many public lots are available in the city and hotels/ Airbnb’s often include or provide access to parking if needed.
do we need a car in Den Bosch?
Not really. All the events and activities we have planned are in the city center and within walking distance from the main square. There are bike rentals available if you want to bike to the lake, to a national park and of course there's always the train.
WHERE CAN WE FIND FLIGHT DEALS?
Unsurprisingly, summer is high season in most of Europe because, well, because it’s the best. With amazing weather, festivals and cultural events and blooming nature, we recommend keeping an eye on flight deals as they pop up, or better yet, using airline miles to get here and back. Direct flights are available but often more expensive, so if you’re up for a long layover or day trip somewhere lovely, we say buy the ticket and take the ride. As you look for flights, here’s where we tend to find great deals:
We know the cost of travel, time away from work and other commitments may make it difficult for some of our favorites to make it and we more than understand — we’ll find another way to celebrate near you sometime soon!
WHERE CAN WE DAY-TRIP?
If you’re looking to explore the Netherlands a bit more, we’d recommend Amsterdam, as well as Rotterdam, Utrecht, Maastricht and Haarlem.
AMSTERDAM—The capital of Holland and known for its beautiful canals, quirky architecture, and lively nightlife, Amsterdam is the best place to find Dutch art, culture, and cuisine, with a rich history that dates back to the 13th century.
ROTTERDAM—The New York City of the Netherlands. A cosmopolitan port city with gritty roots, Rotterdam is urban, sophisticated, and hella cool city.
UTRECHT—A vibrant college town full of cafes, canals and heaps of hip young people. The second -city to Amsterdam.
MAASTRICHT—A university city on the southern tip of the Netherlands, Maastricht is known for its medieval-era architecture and vibrant cultural scene.
HAARLEM—With famous museums, shops, restaurants and the beach around the corner, Haarlem’s hidden streets of a bygone era and hip, concept stores on the water are a treat.
